Two weeks ago my son had the pinky eye his eyes got infected. He had a bit of a flue and we had Peazmakerz practice Saturday and Kairos played he loves Peazmakerz so much and the children loves him to.
But the place where we practice is not a clean place, and some of our kids in Peazmakerz aren't all clean to because we have street children. So he apparently rubbed his nose then rubbed his eyes and his fingers were full of bacteria.
Next thing I knew his eyes got red with a bit of yellow white pus coming out every half an hour. The next day his eyes got so swollen and I got scared, I had this eye infection before when I still lived in Holland 10 years ago.
Now knowing Erma, Erma doen't go to the doctor that easily, so I thought I will take care of his eyes and see how the eyes will be in three days.
What I did I cleaned the eyes, with clean water every time I saw pus coming out Kairos eyes. I read on the internet that black tea was good for an infected eye so I made black tea and cleaned his eyes with black tea.
After three days it was decreasing but his other eye got infected to. But the other eye was fine. The fourth day I made Beetroot soup, because I believe Beetroot can pump up your blood cells to fight the bacteria, I love beetroot such a awesome powerfood. After 5 days of having eye infection Kairos was better no more pus or anything any more it was all gone.
Now you might not agree with how I handle it, but when Kairos had an eye infection he was fine. He played like he wasn't infected at all and acted normal. I love the doctor but I love Dr google to, it's just living in Indonesia it's hard to believe doctors. Because there are so many commercial doctors here that they would tell you to buy a lot of medicines and antibiotics to make you better. Can't really trust a lot of doctors here, where in Holland my doctor would tell me that everything will be fine just take a lot of rest, eat a good diet etc.
I am really happy and proud of how I handled it, by following my mother instict, morning prayers and Dr google and all the moms who shared their story about Pinky eye.
Thank you moms.
