First time going to Bukit Kasih (Hill of love), walking the stairs to the peak of the mountain. It was beautiful, breath taking and fun yet really tiring. Going up was alright but getting down was for me the hardest part. When walking to the top people usually say, its harder to get to the top then going down. Well not for me, got almost hit by a thunder when I reached the top, clouds were cloudy it almost felt that heavy rain could drop any time soon. Rushed my ass down thinking I could die and be stuck for ever in the jungle, had to go down trough the the jungle instead of the stairs, because the guide said it was faster that way. Well NOT. I almost felt a lots of time had to walk on mud and stones, while it rained a tiny bit. Felt like forever going down, couldn't stop thinking of Kairos and prayed in my heart "OH God please let the clouds hold their peepee for a tiny bit until I get down , save and sound holding Kairos in my arms." Mosquitoes everywhere and they love to have a piece of me all the time, because Indonesian people say that I am " Dara Manis" ( Sweet blood). I am sweet alright but not for the mosquitoes got the chance to kill a lot of them that day.
After all the walking and the drama we stopped in the middle of the mountain. What I saw on the hill was breath taking and it moved me so much. There were 4 temples on the hill a mosque Catholic Church, Christian Church, temple and a Hindu temple. People were going to the temple to pray peacefully. Wished it could be like this in every corner of the world, that we can respect each others believes. The people in Minahasa showed me that it is possible.
Minahasa I love you, I am proud to say that I am to a Minahasian, till we meet in February.
